Trains

I’ve never been one of those guys who loves trains, but they draw my attention. I can’t help but to look at a train as it passes and wonder what it would be like to ride with the engineer. Taking in the beautiful landscapes as the train passes through the country side or   through a densely populated city. I think the power of a train and its mass gets every little boy excited to see one pass by. On the other hand trains have a certain romantic quality that most people fine intriguing.

Here are several pictures taken of trains and tracks. The track pictures were taken in Childersburg Alabama. I was driving down the road and slammed my brakes on when I saw this beautiful field with train tracks running along the side of the property line. There’s something so Americana about train tracks running along fields of crops. The pictures of trains were taken at the Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum. It’s a wonderful place where trains of the past are parked for all to enjoy.
