Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The same holds true for value. I personally value photography. A picture in my hands takes me back to the moment. A moment I may have forgotten or one that has grown old. Time is passing by so fast. The only way I can find to momentarily slow this blur of time is taking a picture.
As my study of photography has progressed the simple satisfaction of the memory preserved has never grown old. I think of technical settings, background, exposure and focus before I press the shutter, but the excitement I feel once the exposure happens has never changed.
The same satisfaction is there no matter what camera I’m using. I value the memory of that moment. A moment locked in our memory, but it can never happen again.
I challenge you to take pictures of your family, friends and places you visit. I promise you won’t regret that one snapshot you took.
If you’re ever in need of a photographer to help with those moments, please connect with me. I want to build a relationship with clients that will allow me to continue capturing those moments for every special event.
Acton time. Go and find the oldest photo you have of a family member or friend. Take a full minute and look at the picture. Remember their voice, the surroundings, that moment. I think you will find value is in the eye of the beholder.
